Miss Ashton's Poker Run Results
We are very Proud and Happy to report that
with the outpouring of help from our many
new friends, and the ongoing support of the
IR-RU Family membership, we collectively raised
for the Miss Ashton Fund !
The turnout was tremendous, the results speak for themselves.
We want to convey our heartfelt thanks to all those who
where involved that made this event such an overwhelming success.

The last un-official bike count before we initially left the IR-RU
was 65 bikes. There were a few last minute arrivals that met us at Casey's
(the first stop), but unfortunately we were not able to get an official count there
before people started heading to the next stop at Softtails. We got caught in
the rain before the day was out, but if that dampened anyone's resolve to
help Miss Ashton, it wasn't noticeable.
The run ended back at the IR-RU Clubhouse where we had a
Roasted Hog and numerous covered dishes, salads and desserts
waiting for us. Special Thanks to Roger (for supplying and cooking
the hog), and all the members and others that brought food. The shuffle
board table was set up like a buffet and was an impressive layout
all by itself. After everyone had their fill, we held the charity
auction which was followed by karaoke and the remaining raffles.
Special Thanks to Connie for being the auctioneer,
and to Rosie for supplying her time and equipment
so we could have music for the remainder of the night.
Last, but certainly not least, we want to thank all of the local businesses
and organizations that donated the items that enabled us to have raffles
and drawings all day. Special Thanks go to Barb Walsh and Sam Klein
for recruitment and collection of these articles.
By any assessment, this was a very enjoyable and successful event.
Thanks again to EVERYONE involved, for helping us prove that
"United We Stand . . .
